Tractus Asia hires Michael Hirou as Chief USA Representative

Highly Experienced Sales and Investment Management Leader Selected to Facilitate Next Level of Growth in the Region

Tractus, a strategy and market entry consulting leader in Asia, today announced that as of MH Headshot1 Feb it appointed Michael Hirou as its chief USA representative. Based on the West Coast, Hirou will be responsible for managing customer and partner relationships across the United States, helping clients achieve their desired Asia-Pacific market expansion goals. Reporting to John Evans, the Managing Director, of Tractus, Hirou will have a keen focus on developing new business across the company’s strategy & execution, inc.ubator™, corporate finance, and economic development practice areas.

According to a survey of privately owned US businesses , 82 percent of companies cited market growth opportunities as the biggest impetus for emerging and fast-growing market expansion. Tractus’ decision to hire Hirou for this role underscores the company’s strong focus on growing its US client base and helping them accelerate their expansion into Asia.

Previously, Mr. Hirou worked for Green Technology start-ups and early stage companies. Most recently, he served as head of business development for Everyday

Energy, a solar energy company specializing in the solar energy systems for multi-family affordable housing. Prior to that, he was head of Sales and Marketing for Magnesium Products Group (MPG). He also served as General Manager at Convergence Wireless (CW), where he was integral in securing $800K in angel investment for the company’s flagship product—an all wireless lighting control system for offices. Mr. Hirou also has held several management roles at well-respected Wall Street investment firms such as Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., Thomas Weisel Partners, JMP Securities LLC and Sandler O’Neil + Partners.
