Tractus Building Partnerships across Developing Asia as the FK Norway Asia South Representatives
Tractus Asia Ltd., a leading Asia-based business and economic development consultancy, has renewed its service contract with FK Norway to continue building partnerships across NGOs and businesses in developing Asia. This includes India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Myanmar, China, Cambodia and Vietnam and focuses on the areas of Private Sector Development, Primary Health, Education and Civil Society. FK exchange initiatives fund young people from Norway and the developing world to live and work in partner organizations in different countries to build capacities and experience. As the ‘Asia South Representatives’ of FK Norway, Tractus identifies potential participant organizations, familiarizing them with the program and supporting their application process.
In January of 2017, the Tractus FK Norway Asia South Representatives, Daniel Bellefleur and Maurits Favier, attended the FK Norway annual meetings in Oslo. The Tractus duo highlighted 2016 achievements and provided valuable input to the 2017 outreach strategy and methods to efficiently assess potential partner organizations across Asia. In 2016, we conducted outreach to over 10,000 organizations initiating more than 20 new potential partnerships. Based on the successes of 2016, the Asia South Representatives, in cooperation with the FK management team, developed a proactive 2017 agenda including the implementation of Partnership Forums in Bangladesh and Myanmar, supporting FK training, and partner reviews as well as continued outreach to potential Asian partners.
The Director of FK Norway, Ms. Nita Kapoor, commented “Tractus has been instrumental in expanding our dynamic portfolio of partner organizations in Asia, each of which have unique projects that will indeed contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.”
FK Norway makes the world smaller by supporting international partnership exchanges. Tractus is pleased to support these efforts.
Daniel, a former American Peace Corps volunteer added, “The FK Norway program brings diverse organizations together and offering young people the opportunity to learn from and educate international peers. FK Norway exchanges are needed now more than ever to foster peace, understanding and the exchange of skills between those with many differences.”
