The Consulting Manager is a consulting and business development professional responsible for overseeing consulting engagements and supporting country operations for Tractus in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. This role is responsible for driving business development activities, managing client relationships, leading consulting teams domestically and internationally, and ensuring successful delivery of engagements across multiple sectors and practices provided by Tractus.

This role requires strong commercial awareness, business development capability, project management, and client management skills, together with the ability to lead consultants and support staff to achieve project deliverables, financial objectives, and client satisfaction. The position works closely with Directors and other Tractus offices to support country performance, operational effectiveness, client satisfaction, and achievement of the Companyโ€™s strategic and financial objectives.

Business Development & Client Management

  • Develop new consulting business with both new and existing clients.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue business opportunities aligned with the Companyโ€™s practices.
  • Lead client meetings, presentations, and business development discussions to secure new engagements.
  • Coordinate proposals, work plans, pricing, and engagement documentation.
  • Maintain client relationships to support repeat business and long-term partnerships.

Engagement Delivery

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of consulting engagements in line with scope, timelines, budget, and client expectations.
  • Plan and manage engagement activities, including research, analysis, fieldwork, and client interactions.
  • Ensure deliverables are commercially practical, accurate, and delivered on schedule.

Resource & Project Management

  • Allocate and manage internal resources, external consultants, and strategic partners across engagements.
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, utilization, and overall delivery efficiency.
  • Support project profitability through resources planning via Companyโ€™s reports.

Team Leadership & Professional Development

  • Lead, manage, train, and coach consultants and research staff.
  • Foster a collaborative, professional, and results-oriented team culture.

Office & Operational Management

  • Manage Vietnam office to achieve country goals and performance targets defined in the Companyโ€™s annual strategic plan.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Companyโ€™s consulting practice and internal initiatives.
  • Ensure engagement-related administrative and operational requirements are completed accurately and on time.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent professional experience; postgraduate qualifications are a plus.
  • Relevant experience in business consulting, advisory, or other professional services environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in business development, client relationship management, and consulting engagement delivery.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple consulting engagements and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, and managing consulting or project teams.
  • Strong commercial awareness, analytical capability, and project management skills.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills in English and Vietnamese.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and regional business environment, both independently and collaboratively.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • Competitive and commensurate with experience.
