India eyes H1-B talent to accelerate tech investment

October 21, 2025

Tractus India manager Anand Verma was recently quoted in fDi Intelligence discussing how the recent US H1-B visa fee increase could accelerate foreign investment in India’s tech sector.

The article examines how the policy change might push more multinational companies to expand their global capability centers in India rather than bringing Indian talent to the US. Anand shared his perspective that the visa changes could help grow India’s Global Capability Centers (GCC) presence from around 1,700 centers today to approximately 2,500 over the next five years, particularly as the government looks to develop tier-2 cities like Mysore, Coimbatore, Ahmedabad and Kochi as new tech hubs.
