“In order to capitalize on the ASEAN opportunity post-pandemic, Canadian firms must recognize that the days of large-scale production plants supplying global demand are waning. A wise strategy would be to focus on setting up near market. The post-COVID world will see a more regionalized approach to trade and investment to mitigate the risk of singular production concentration.”
